The Hugo Awards

The major change of the 1990s was the institution of the Retro Hugos. These Hugos were first awarded at LAConIII in 1996, and can be awarded for any year in which no Hugo Awards had previously been awarded, as long as the administering convention is 50, 75, or 100 years after the convention for which the Retro Hugos are being awarded.
