Room Sharing
This is a topic where people can look for roommates at Noreascon Four.
Adina Adler Sunday, March 21, 2004
Have a reservation at the Sheraton Hotel and I'm looking for one or more people to split costs for the nights of August 31st and September 1st (one or both days as you choose).. May look for roommates from Sep 2-7 in the future pending on friends showing up or not but not yet. Don't care who you are or what you look like as long as you don't stink up the place everything would be peachy! I've shared rooms for last 4worldcons and it always works out great. Please email with slightest interest and if we should meet at the con I shall toast your arrival with a bucket of Samuel Adams.. Cheers! Josh...... Herald of the Song of Ice and Fire**

Hi. I'm looking for roomate(s) @ the Sheraton Sept. 2 - Sept.6 I have a smoking room on a party floor and I stay up late. If you come to the con to ignore sleeping like I do I'd love to share the cost and clean shower with you. Mundane/fen hybrids need not reply.
Shell Majury Monday, May 3, 2004
To Josh: I'm hoping to get a suite for the main nights of the Con, to host a couple of parties. But I (and possibly two partners-in-crime) will be seeking a place to crash the night before and the night after.

Looking for roommates for Sept. 1-7 at the Sheraton My name’s Paul, I’m a wannabe Swedish writer looking for someone to help spread the cost for a double at the Sheraton from Sept. 1-7 – preferably the whole Con, but anything will help. The room is non-smoking, but apart from that I’m open to anything (or anyone for that matter). Drop me a line if you need a room.
Paul T Martensson Wednesday, May 26, 2004
I'm looking for a roomate(s) to share a double non-smoking Marriott room and the expenses thereof. Preferably female. I have the room reserved from Sept 1-6 and having roommate(s) for at least some of that time frame would be great. I typically use a con room for sleeping and maintaining a certain standard of hygiene, but I've also found room sharing a great way to meet new fellow fans. Please drop me a line if you are interested.
Kelly Beranger Saturday, May 29, 2004
I have a room for the Marriott for the 1st through to the 7th. I'm looking for a couple of room mates for that period of time. non-smoking I'm a fairly quiet, tolerant, middle-aged Canadian.
Michael Dann Thursday, June 3, 2004
Am a middle-age male looking to stay Sept. 1 or 2 till Sept.6. Have a room reserved but would like to split costs due to partner having to cancel so would be willing to share mine or cancel and share yours. Am fairly quiet book collector that likes to float the parties.
Roger Warren Lee Saturday, June 5, 2004
Earlier I posted a roomate request, and I have most of my roomie needs fulfilled, but I still have a night on the Sept. 1, which I would like a roomshare. Getting in town before the rest of your crew and need a room for just one night? Look no further. Non-smoking, Marriott.
Kelly Beranger Thursday, June 17, 2004
Have room in Sheraton Sept 2-6. Looking for non-smoking female room mates (1 to 3), preferably older but any age welcome.
CAROLYN ALLEN Sunday, June 20, 2004
Looking for hopefully smoking, not absolutely necessary though, room to share Sept 1-6th, hopefully ok with me coming back and passing out at 3am
Eli Tuesday, June 22, 2004
My friend, Canadian space scientist Dr. David Stephenson, who is frequently seen at Eastern Canadian and U.S. cons, is looking for someone to share a room with in Boston. He's a non-smoker, and quite a fascinating fellow. Let me know if you might be interested, and I'll put you in touch.
Robert J. Sawyer Saturday, July 3, 2004
Looking to share a quiet-ish, non-smoking room Sept. 1 - 6 (or a large subset thereof). I’m a science-minded gal, so I’d prefer to room with someone leaning that direction as well. Comfortable with M or F roomie(s). While I do appreciate a good whisky, I'm more of a conversationalist than a partier so I won’t be stumbling in at 3 am trying to figure out which is the top side of the bed.
Paula Crock Friday, July 9, 2004
I'm looking for a room for myself Wednesday through Sat. a.m. My gay partner will joining me Sat. - Mon. a.m. We're both nonsmoking and fairly low-key.
Mark Wise Monday, July 12, 2004
Filk couple, 40s, reasonably sane and easy-going, seek M/F roommates to share a Marriott room nights of 9/1-6. We are nonsmokers and the room is too. We're fairly quiet, with eclectic interests. Not party-oriented; although we may stay out until the wee hours singing, we have mastered the art of entering a room quietly and navigating in the dark.
Matt G. Leger Monday, July 12, 2004
Update to my post above: I now have reserved a non-smoking room in the non-party block at the Sheraton. Looking for an occupant (or two small/friendly occupants) for the other double bed.
Paula Crock Tuesday, July 13, 2004
I have a non-smoking double room reserved at the Marriott Sept. 1-7 and am looking for to share the room and expenses with another female. I am generally not a big late-night party person, but if I'm having a good time I might stay out a longer than typical.
Adrienne Foster Thursday, July 22, 2004
Howdy, Anyone in need of a roomie for Noreascon? Just looking for a place to crash, shower, and dump my swag in betwixt panels, parties, and so forth. Ideally looking for something in the con hotel, but anywhere will work. Won't smoke in the room. Will obey all Massachusetts decency laws. Willing to stretch out on the floor for those who are into traditional room-cramming and looking for another head to defray the costs. Cheers! --John Teehan jdteehan@sff.net
John Teehan Monday, July 26, 2004
Hello folks, I'm looking for a room to crash in Sept. 1 - 6. I'm a clean and quiet M, non-smoker. I'm flexible on arrangements.
Jack Foy Tuesday, July 27, 2004
Another update: I now have an available bed only on Sept. 1st, 2nd and possibly the 5th. If you are interested in any/all of these dates let me know.
Paula Crock Monday, August 2, 2004
Hi, I was able to attend the last Worldcon by virtue of sharing expenses in a hotel room many (7) people shared. If anyone has a room and is doing something similar and wanted another (very quiet) person in the room (floor space fine) let me know. I will be arriving the 1st or 2nd and staying until the afternoon of the 6th. However, a place to 'crash' for even some of these days would help. Thanks, Larry
Larry Kramer Monday, August 2, 2004
Boston native looking to room at or near the con. first worldcon, but I've been to a decade of Arisias and several smaller ones. Quiet, clean, sane - just want a place to crash & shower. I do stay out late, but can see in the dark and do not drink to excess. Please let me know where your room is and what my share of the cost would be
Andrew Glazier Thursday, August 5, 2004
Hi! I am looking for shared bit of hotel room for Saturday night at WorldCon (perhaps Friday also). I really just need a bit of floor to crash on, but will be happy to pay my share. I stay up late but I'm quiet and stealthy and skilled in the art of silently tip-toeing around and over roommates at cons without disturbing their sleep. Non-smoker, friendly.
Rock Let Friday, August 6, 2004
Spouse-and-self have a room in the party hotel, on a non-party floor, on Friday/Saturday/Sunday night. We're looking for (preferably) two people to share the room with. Our room will be non-smoking.
Eric Zuckerman Saturday, August 7, 2004
My boyfriend & I have a room at the Marriott (non-smoking)from 09/02-09/06, and are looking to share the room to defray costs. Both Arisa veterans, looking to have a great time! We're in our 30s, and although not having parties in the room, we will most likely be out late enojoying festivities at the con. Email me for details if you're interested.

My Lady and I have a non-party floor room at the Sheraton and are looking for someone on the party floor to allow us to use their room for a one night, low key party for those who are, have or are planning to Honeymoon at Worldcon. We were unable to get a party floor room. Trade rooms for the night? Or some other arrangement.
Wayne Dionne Wednesday, August 11, 2004
Looking to share a room with a female nonsmoker. I have another friend, also female, looking to share as well if you have room for the two of us. We are quiet and do generally go to sleep by midnight. I'm willing to sleep on the floor if need be. I'm just looking for a sleeping place, although I'm quite willing to pay for my share of the bill.
Tonya Price Wednesday, August 11, 2004
Hello all, I'm looking for a room to share from the 2nd to the 6th. I'm a hopeful writer in my early 30's from california, non smoker. I like to go to the parties, but drink only mildly. Mostly what I'm seeking is a place to keep my stuff, sleep and shower. Thanks, Michael
Michael Gallowglas Thursday, August 12, 2004
Update to previous Post: Room is full.
CAROLYN ALLEN Friday, August 13, 2004

Paula Crock Monday, August 16, 2004
Hi, there, I am looking for sleeping space (floor space is OK) for Saturday night, and perhaps also Friday. I do not mind being in a crowded room. I will not spend that much time in the room (mostly sleeping and a shower). I am male, non-smoker, late to bed but very quiet and stealthy. Friendly, married (but wife will not be joining me). I live in the area (10 miles away) but would like to spend the night on-site at least one night to enjoy late-night activities.
Ricardo Sedan Tuesday, August 17, 2004
Hi, I am a dealer and have a room reserved at the Midtown Hotel, one block from the Con. I am looking for someone who is interested in sharing the room from the 2nd through the 6th. One benefit of this hotel is the cheap parking. I am a non-smoking woman and can be reached at earthwisdom80@hotmail.com

I have a room at the Marriot for the whole con. I'm only planning on using it Friday and Saturday night. I'm looking for a guy (ideally Shomer shabbat) who wants to share for those nights. If they'd like the room for the other nights, fine. Otherwise I'll return them to the hotel.
Larry Lennhoff Thursday, August 19, 2004
Scottish fan let down by my planned roomshare falling through needs a roomshare at short notice. I'm coming into Boston on 1st Sep to help with setup and I'll be around until the 7th for teardown. Floorspace will be OK if a bed isn't available. I've been told I snore but it's never woken me up so it can't be that bad. Can anyone help? Cheers.

Matt Lawrence Friday, August 27, 2004
Hello. I know of a bedroom in a house ln Arlington, MA, that is available from now until Sept. 15th (Or less, if that is what is necessary. It is completely open.) Basically, they have an empty room for a bit, because of roommate moving in and out timings. The house is a beautiful Victorian. It is about 30-45 minutes by public transportation to the Hynes Center during rush hour, when there are more frequent buses. About 45 minutes to an hour during non-rush hour, even late at night, since it is on an "all night" route that is fairly active. Rent is negotiable, but would be in the $150 range for a week. Singles or Couples only. There is no furniture in the room, though the house has wireless access. A futon/matress may be able to be found. (Probably) Non-smokers, or only smoke outside, please.
